Maine's most active lobster port, and it doesn't perform for tourists — it just works. Walk the waterfront, watch the boats come and go, sit on a bench with coffee. Best early morning when the fleet heads out or late afternoon when it comes back. In between, still worth the wander.

Don't just stay on Main Street. Walk past the co-op down toward the fish pier for the real working-harbor feel. Foggy mornings here are cinematic — engine sounds, trap stacks, boats appearing out of nothing.
