Hike & Explore
A small lighthouse on a private island just off the northwest tip of Little Deer Isle. Unlike the Thorofare Light, this one is close — right offshore, easy viewing with the naked eye, and any wide-angle camera lens will get the shot. It's a quick stop, not a destination, but it's one of those Maine lighthouse moments that feels like you found something most visitors miss.
Insider Tip
Easy to combine with your drive onto or off the island since it's on the Little Deer Isle side of the bridge. Pull over, look, shoot, keep going. Don't try to reach the island — it's privately owned.
